The legendary Ilayaraja will be performing for a concert in Canada on November 3 at an event that’s touted to draw huge crowds.
This is slated to be the debut show of Trinity Events who are the organizers with the evening be called, “Engeyum Eppothum Raja”.
Thousands are expected at the Rogers Centre on November 3rd for the first show of its kind within the Tamil Canadian community. “Engeyum Eppothum Raja” will highlight the South Indian musical legend Maestro Illayaraja and will feature over 100 artists including many popular lead singers and actors.
“Travel visas have been confirmed for all artists on the roster and we are excited to announce that rehearsals have commenced in Chennai, in preparation for a massive show” said Kishan Nithy, Spokesperson and Vice President of Trinity Events.
“The anticipation and the excitement of the large North American fan base is evident from the steady rise in ticket sales and interest shown from Halifax to the east and San Francisco to the west” adds Nithy.
Trinity Events will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales to local charities and critical health care related to projects in Northern Sri Lanka.
