The audio launch of director Suseendran's third film, Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai was a grand affair at the packed and overflowing hall of Sathyam Cinemas biggest screen.

The presence of major successful directors of Kollywood, and the inspiring presence of Ilayaraja himself, made the event even more special. The audio was launched by Ilayaraja himself and received by Balu Mahendra in the presence of noted Malayalam director Sathyan Anthikkad, Sasikumar, Prabhu Solomon, Vetrimaran, Simbudevan, Snehan, Yugabharathy, Immaan, Samudrakani, SP Jananathan, Vishnu, Ram, Jayaprakash, Antony, Pandiraj and Chakravarthy of Imagine Creations.

The film is produced by  P Madhan, and is being released by Cloud Nine. Said Suseendran in his welcome speech, "I am really grateful to Madhan for taking up this project despite it having no big stars and only Appukutty and a horse as main characters. He gave us full support. Theni Eshwar, a still photographer debuts as cameraman and has done an excellent job. I thank novelist Bhaskar Sakthi for his story since its based on his novel and he has done the dialogues for the film as well. This was no ordinary story to be shot in a short time but needed all sorts of equipments and a producer who was passionate about cinema which Madhan is. I am fortunate that Ilayaraja consented to do the music and gave us three songs."

Balu Mahendra said that he was a great fan of still photographer Theni Eshwar and he was confident he would reach great heights after seeing the visuals. SP Jananathan said, Suseendran has become a reference point for new directors who have achieved success in their first film. It's wonderful that he can draw audiences to the theatres in these difficult times for cinema".

Vetrimaaran exclaimed that he wanted to see the film right away while Sasikumar congratulated Suseendran for taking up a novel and said, "We have to make this film a success so that more novels will be converted into films.” Appukutty was present with his heroine Saranya Mohan and was very grateful to Suseendran, “I never even dreamt that I would be a hero one day! I  give all thanks to Suseendran for giving me that huge break and making a character for me in Vennilla Kabadi Kuzhu."

Saranya surprised everyone by singing two lines of an Ilayaraja song from one of her films. The speech by Ilayaraja had everyone enthralled as he congratulated Suseendran for making a film based on literature. He recalled his early school days and close association of his with the father of Lenin Bharathi from the unit. He said, "Suseendran told me he couldn't imagine anyone except me doing this music. I can tell by the posters whether  a film will be a hit and I felt VKK would be a hit and it was. This film too will be a huge success."

Ilayaraja has sung one of the three songs. Two songs and a trailer were screened for the audiences who gave a resounding ovation.
