In an emergency meeting, members of Tamil Film Producers Council have taken take many important decisions including their next step on the Local Tax imposed by Tamil Nadu Government and various other issues.
Sources say that TFPC wants to reduce the cost of QUBE, they also want theaters to play trailers at free of cost. Members of the council unanimously said that the 30% Local Tax of TN Government should be waived.
TFPC wants all the theaters in the state to be computerized to maintain the transparency. Apparently, theaters' owners strike is to benefit themselves but TFPC wants the entire industry to be benefitted.
But for the betterment of the industry, theater owners and producers should stay united. Hope they come together to overcome the new challenges!
