The Kanden Kadhalai audio launch at Sathyam Cinemas on Friday August 14, was one of the best conducted events in recent times.
The highlight was Imtiaz Ali, the director of Jab We Met flying down for the event and after watching the trailer and songs magnanimously saying “ In KK, a remake of JWM, director Kannan has corrected all the mistakes that I have made in the original!”
Which director in Kollywood would make such a statement about his film?
G.Dhananjayan of Moserbaer Entertainments made it a point to invite all the the top guns of the Tamil film industry like Ramanarayanan the producers council chief, Sun Pictures Hansraj Saxena, leading producer Kalaipuli.S Thanu, directors like Cheran, K.V Anand, Perarasu, actor Arya among others.
Dhananjayan’s brain wave idea to “celebrate Tamil Cinema” by giving shields and ‘Ponnada’ to successful path breaking directors in recent times at the audio launch was appreciated and lauded.
K.V Anand (Ayan), Samuthirakani (Nadodigal), Vikram Kumar (Yaavarum Nalam) and Pandiraj (Pasanga) and Susindran (Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu)directors of some of the best movies in recent times received the memento from Ramanarayanan, Imtiaz Ali and Hansraj Saxena.
Three songs from KK and trailer were screened for the invitees. The songs of Vidyasagar and its picturisation, camera work of PG Muthiah was fantastic.
Bharath and Tamannaah looked charming, and the songs are sure going to rock. The film looks like a “youthful entertainer”
