The film talks about the struggles of the people especially orphans and children in the 2009 civil war of Sri Lanka, where ethnic cleansing took place. The performance of actors playing the children in the film Sugandha Ram in the heroine’s role of Ranjani and the special child Karan as Nandan are simply outstanding.
Actor Siddharth who came for the premiere Tweeted : “Santosh Sivan's Inam is a poem and a painting. The children in the film are so wonderful. Deeply heartfelt effort. Monstrous genocide seen through the eyes of a most exceptional child. Santosh Sivan continues to blaze new trails”.
There is a good pre-release buzz about this off-beat and brilliantly made movie which is releasing this Friday (Mar 28). Director Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra Bose of Thirrupathi Brothers should be appreciated for distributing this bold film.
Said Santosh: I am very happy with the response from the film fraternity after the show. Tonight we are holding a premiere in Mumbai"
