“Sara, Sara…” song from Vaagai Sooda Vaa is currently the most popular song being played on television channels.

The song sung by Chinmayi and tuned by Ghibran has become an instant hit with the viewers for the way it was picturised by director Sargunan on the new girl Inaya.

Inaya whose actual name is Shruthi is from Thiruvananthapuram. Inaya in the role of a mischievous girl who runs the lone tea shop in a remote village has been appreciated.

She had actually replaced another Malayalee girl Amala Paul in the film.

Director Sargunan in an interview had said: “Amala Paul was our first choice and we had signed her for VSV. It was before the release of Mynaa and I had told her about the role and the rehearsals that she needed to take. But after Mynaa was released, her attitude towards VSV changed and she refused to do rehearsals. So we replaced her with Inaya, whose interest in the role enabled the character to click with the audiences.”

The new girl who is now getting offers by the dozen says she will remain choosy. Says a smiling Inaya: “I want to do good cinema. My role model is Revathy. At the moment I’m doing Mouna Guru with Arulnithi and will be signing a couple of new films before the end ofthe month.”
