Indian children`s film

Yeh Hai Chakkad Bakkad Bumbe Bo, a 90 min. film produced by the Children Film Society of India was awarded the Bronze Remi Award at the 37th WorldFest – Houston Film Festival, Houston, USA.

The festival showcases 60 features and about 100 shots from around the world in 12 categories. The movie is about a team of four kids, a dog and a monkey who discover the nefarious activities of an opium smuggler in their town.

How they expose the villain with their courage and intelligence form the plot of this film that also highlights the truth that ‘girls are equal if not better than boys.’ It is a celebration of innocence and mischief of childhood.

Directed by Sridhar Rangayan, the film is written by the late Shakuntala Paranjpye and adapted by Vijay Tendulkar. Rahul Joshi, Aardra Athalye, Anvay Ponkshe and Vinay play the four intrepid kids along with renowned actors like Mona Ambegoankar, Bakul Thakkar, Ranvindra Mankani and Tom Alter, who play’s the comic villain.
