Is Aadhi acting pricey? The actor who made his debut with Mirugam went on to do a couple of films like Ayyanar, Aadupuli, Aravaan, which all bombed at the box-office.
It was just one film Arviazhagan directed Eeram which created some ripples but the Kollywood buzz has it that that the actor seems to be throwing his weight around and has a huge attitude. No director or producer is willing to repeat him in their next venture.
Recently the actor after promising to attend the Platinum disc functions of his new release Marathen Mannithen, failed to turn up. The producer of the film, Lakshmi Manchu who was able to get maestro Ilayaraja to attend the event, wanted the entire cast and crew to attend the grand function.
But Aadhi who promised to come for the function did not turn up and kept the others waiting till the last moment. Says a production executive: “He kept on saying that he is on the way from Pondicherry and will be at the venue any moment and finally didn’t turn up, keeping all of us waiting”
When contacted Lakshmi Manchu said: “I am very disappointed that Aadhi did not realize the importance and responsibility of promoting his own film. God bless such heroes”
