AR Rahman and director Gautham Menon were planning a big audio launch for their Ek Deewana Tha, in front of the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra.
The Hindi film is a remake of Gautham’s Tamil classic, the Silambarasan-Trisha love story Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya.
However, the archaeological survey of India citing the damage that took place close to Taj during the shooting of another Hindi film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan refused permission.
Gautham and Rahman felt that since Ek Deewana Tha is a love story and Taj would have been the ideal locale for the launch.
Sources say that Rahman and Gautham are not worried as they have decided to launch the audio in a five star hotel with a Taj view, close to the historic monument.
But the latest news is that, AR Rahman tweeted- " It is Hosanna time again, will be launching the soundtrack of Ekk Deewana Tha in Agra today (Dec 21)"
