Clash of two or three films on a single day is an old stock in Sandalwood.
These days this trend has increasingly becoming popular. Seems like films compete with themselves and though this is a healthier situation, it does divide the box office numbers of the films individually.
2014 is seeing a rush of films in Kannada film industry and there are many films in the row that are planning to have their releases before the end of March. The exam season, followed by IPL season is being the reason for the movies to get released as soon as possible inform the sources.
While last week, it was Ravichandran’s Crazy Star and J.Chandralekha’s directorial Kwaatle released, this week there are again two movies lined up for release. The movie which was in due to release since a long time- Nann Life Alli and one of the most awaited thrillers of the year Ugramm are in tow for the release.
Nann Life Alli which was launched almost two years ago and had been waiting for a suitable time to release for more than one year, is finally hitting the silver screens this weekend, i.e., on the 21st of February. Directed by debutante Ramdeep (niece of the ace film maker Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar) the movie stars Dilip Raj, Anish Tejeshwar, Sindhu Loknath, Ajay Raj and Nikhila in the lead roles.
On the other side Ugramm which is a full length Kannada feature film with action and drama as its principal genre is also hitting the big screens on 21st of this month. With actors like Sri Murali, Tilak Shekhar and many other known faces of Sandalwood in the movie, Ugramm has created huge waves of expectation.
