It looks like comedian star, Jaggesh has decided not to wear the neta’s hat for the time being in real life. Surprisingly, the actor is not even contesting the assembly polls.
There are two reasons for Jaggesh, now a member of the BJP, to abstain from politics. During the 2008 Assembly elections, Jaggesh contested as a Congress party member and won from Turuvekere (his home constituency) comfortably. However, shocking everybody, he resigned as MLA under ‘Operation Lotus’ to join the BJP. Subsequently, he did not contest the by-election, but the BJP candidate lost badly to the Congress.
The wave against Jaggesh is still prevalent in Turuvekere and the actor preferred to stay away from electoral politics. In addition, the actor has not been seen campaigning for any BJP candidates.
Is the once upon a time ‘Collection King’ showing signs of withdrawal? The answer is no. According to his well-wishers, Jaggesh is concentrating on his next big project – Agraja – in which he is sharing the screen space with super star Darshan. Jaggesh has pinned his hopes on Agraja because none of his films have performed well at the BO in the last three years.
