Jayam Ravi and director Samuthirakani held a success meet of Nimirinthu Nil at a star hotel on Monday (March 17) evening. They thanked the media for making the film a success.
Samuthirakani said that he went through a lot of turmoil as the film underwent last minute financial hassles. Said Samuthirakani: "I do not want to speak about my harrowing experience, but let me confess the film would not have released but for Ravi."
The director also made it clear that some of the characters in the film are based on real life characters, who were crusaders against corruption. Samuthirakani`s next would be a film with Amala Paul in the lead. He said it is too early to talk about his proposed film with Vijay.
Jayam Ravi said NN is one of the best films he has done in his career and thanked Samuthirakani for it. He said the film worked even though it had a late release in many centres, as people liked the social message in the film.
