A lot is riding on Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan for the gentleman star and 'Mr Nice Guy' of Tamil cinema, Jayam Ravi. He has put his heart and soul into this Ameer directed film, which has taken nearly two years to be completed due to various factors.
Ravi had a rather quiet 2012. He had just one release, the romantic musical Engeyum Kathal in 2011. Most of 2012, he was busy shooting for Aadhi Bhagavan and the huge publicity of the film kept him in the news.
The early buzz on Aadhi Bhagavan which has been chopped by the censors following the aftermath of Vishwaroopam controversy is very positive.
Aadhi Bhagavan is said to be a well-made action thriller and Ravi is said to be fantastic, especially his cool silent killer looks and action scenes. Remember Ravi was dubbed a chocolate hero but Peranmai proved that he is awesome in all-out action films.
Ravi has shaped out well in the hands of Ameer who has spotted the latent angry young man streaks in his performance in Aadhi Bhagavan. Ameer in an interview said: “AB is an urban romantic action film with a towering performance by Jayam Ravi, in the title role. He has done some of the most daring action scenes in recent times. “
2013 is going to be a crucial year for Ravi as he has three films coming up for release – Aadhi Bhagavan followed by Bhoologam and then Nimirndhu Nil.
