Raju Murugan of Joker and Cuckoo fame has penned the story for his brother Saravana Rajendran’s debut directorial film. Saravana Rajendran was an erstwhile associate of ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan. To be produced by Giant Films, the pooja ceremony of the yet-untitled film happened on Thursday at AVM Studios, Chennai.
Talking about the film, Raju Murugan says “We auditioned a lot of actors to play the lead role in the film and at one point, we lost hope. When Saravana Rajendran and I visited Coimbatore for a friend’s wedding, we loved the food there and met the catering head ‘Ranga’. Within a few minutes, we thought Ranga would suit for the script and asked him whether he is interested to act in films. Though Ranga was hesitant, he later agreed and trained himself for the character”.
Newcomer Shweta Tripathi plays the romantic interest of Ranga in the film. ‘Maanagaram’ fame Selvam will crank the camera for the film and Sean Roldan is taking care of the music.
