'Magalir Mattum' is based on a true story

In a recent media interaction, Jyothika confirmed that she has signed Mani Ratnam’s next. “I’ve signed the film ten days before and got the permission to reveal it”, said Jyothika, who is leaving today to the Himalayas with her kids for trekking.

After her short break to the Himalayas, Jyothika will kick start the promotions for Magalir Mattum, which is all set for release on September 15. “I felt Magalir Mattum is a surprising script from Bramma.  As a man, he has rightly touched a woman's mind", said Jyothika, who also clarified "Though the feelings of women are dealt in the film, it’s not a feminist film. Magalir Mattum is both for men and women”.

Jyothika also says that his next film with Naachiyaar is a powerful script and she plays a bold character in the film.

Jyothika complemented Nayanthara for selecting right scripts which give importance to the female lead. “After 36 Vayadhinile, it took more than 1.5 years for me to sign Magalir Mattum. I think Nayanthara is blessed to get content oriented films coming her way, she also ensures quality in each and every film”, signed off Jyothika.
