Bharathi Raja, T Rajendar, JK Riteish and Radha Ravi jointly met the media and stated that President Vishal should step-down from Tamil Film Producers Council as he failed to fulfill his promises. They also said Vishal is not eradicating piracy from Tamil film industry but he is actually supporting it by joining hands with a production which spearheads piracy market.
A whistle-blowing website named ‘Savukku’ recently published a detailed report which allegedly hinted that famous production house Lyca is silently heading the piracy market and only to cover their crime, they joined hands with Vishal in Irumbu Thirai and Sandakozhi 2.
At the meet, T Rajendar said Vishal’s team has swindled crores of TFPC’s savings and they should immediately step-down. But in his interaction with TOI, Vishal says his team is maintaining transparency and anyone can crosscheck. Vishal also asked whether those members have enough proof on the production house’s involvement in piracy. Regarding his association with Lyca, he said that the production house is also bankrolling many films.
Vishal says all films are releasing only based on the queue system but despite allocating release dates, some producers like Pandiraj, Michael Rayappan and Jhabak couldn’t release their films due to their personal issues.
