Named after the superhit song from Jyothika’s smash flick from 2007 (the award-winning Mozhi) directed by Radha Mohan, Kaatrin Mozhi has her once again under his direction. But this time she's playing a housewife-turned-RJ. While it is the remake of Vidya Balan’s Tumhari Sulu, this is all Jyo - right from her quirky expressions to her comic timing. All it takes is a couple of seconds and you’re instantly connected to the character. She’s no superstar here. Just a mom who has found her calling.

Vijayalakshmi is a far cry from Jyothika’s outing on screen earlier this year as tough cop Naachiyar. These myriad roles are a testament to her craft. What’s more, we like that Jyothika, quite like Vijayalakshmi, knows her calling and keeps returning with engaging films.
But before we can see her rock the airwaves, we’ll be watching her in Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam releasing on September 27.

Kaatrin Mozhi also stars Lakshmi Manchu as the head of the Radio Station and Vidaarth as the husband. Catch Jyo’s sultry ‘Hulllooo’ on October 18!
