Kalpana Raghavendra from Chennai was crowned the latest winner of the popular Malayalam music reality show Idea Star Singer on Saturday night.
Kalpana, from Chennai, won the Rs 1 crore villa on offer as the grand prize after an almost six-hour long grand finale staged live at the Chandrashekharan Nair Stadium in Trivandrum.
Legendary singer KJ Yesudas, who was hugely impressed with Kalpana's performance, declared her the winner at the end of the show.

This was the first time in five years that a woman walked away with the top prize.
