Right after the censor certificate of Vishwaroopam 2, we get to see a newsreel-like video depicting how Kamal Haasan started his new political party ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam’ and the hurdles he faced for Vishwaroopam.
A lot of movie fans have criticized Kamal Haasan for forcing his political views and party in cinema. While interacting with the media in Chennai, Kamal said that the Makkal Needhi Maiam video footage will be screened in various platforms and Vishwaroopam 2 is just a beginning.
Kamal says that he will not force his political party in his film’s screenplay. “I had also expressed my political ideologies in films like Hey Ram, and Virumandi”, said Kamal Haasan. Though Vishwaroopam 2 has not been released in many areas in Tamil Nadu, the film has grossed Rs 84.1 lakhs in Chennai.
