Kamal Hassan has sought police protection for the screening of his magnum opus Vishwaroopam. The film will be premiered on DTH on Thursday January 10, followed by a theatrical release on January 11. Now Kamal has sought police protection for the screening of the film.
Kamal met ADGP (Law and Order), on Sunday and sought police protection and also filed a written complaint against certain vested interests, who have been trying to sabotage his DTH plans by employing restrictive trade practices. They have been warning him of power cuts during DTH screening and also illegally making pirated copies of the film.
Remember, Kamal Haasan is fighting a fierce battle with Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association (TNTOA), who are refusing to screen the film, after its DTH premiere.
Kamal has also come out with a theater listing of Vishwaroopam in Chennai city and Coimbatore areas. In the next few days he plans to come out with a theater list for the entire state.
