Kamal to play Tippu Sultan in bi-lingual!

Kamal Haasan will play legendary warrior king of Mysore Tippu Sultan in a bi-lingual in Tamil and Malayalam titled Tippuvum Unniaarchayum.
Noted Malayalam writer John Paul is writing the script which will be directed by Vayalar Madhavan Kutty.
Gokulam Gopalan, leading businessman and producer of the critically acclaimed box-office hit Pazhassi Raja (2009), and a close friend of Kamal Haasan is the producer.
In a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, Gopalan announced: “I’m planning a historical film tentatively titled Tippuvum Unniaarchayum based on Tipu Sultan and warrior queen of North Malabar Unniarcha. Kamal Haasan has agreed to act in the film. The other details and shooting plans are being worked out and should start rolling early next year.”
