While promoting his upcoming silent thriller film 'Mercury' in North media, Karthik Subbaraj has revealed that his film with Rajinikanth will be realistic and it will also have the special elements of the Superstar. The Pizza and Jigarthanda director added that the story is not based on any real life incidents and it's a fiction.
Karthik also revealed that he hasn't locked the leading lady for Rajinikanth’s film and the shoot will start in two to three months time.
Talking about Mercury, Karthik said that it's a silent thriller but the basic plot is based on how corporate companies exploit mother nature like the Bhopal Gas tragedy and Mercury contamination in Kodaikanal.
In Mercury, Prabhu Deva plays an antagonist and he will not seen dancing in the film. But for a promotional video, they made him to dance. As Mercury is a silent film, it will be released in major theaters in India.
Mercury is slated to release on April 13.
