The dubbed Telugu version of Tamil film Paiyya is getting released as Awara. The film has Karthi (hero of Yuganiki Okkadu ) and Tamannaah in the lead with Studio Green banner bringing it into Tollywood.
Director Linguswamy, Karthi, Tamanna and producer Jnanavel Raja held a media briefing at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad.
Jnanavel Raja said: “We shot the film in Benguluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and several important towns in state. The audio will be releasing in March third week and the screen hit would be in April for the summer vacation.”
Linguswamy said: “The Telugu audiences have patronized my previous films Run, Pandem Kodi, in a big way. I hope that they would continue their support to my films. Coming to the story of Awara, the hero is a fun and frolic loving youth who falls in love at first sight on seeing a girl. Due to unforeseen situations, they have to travel together. The story would take many twists beyond the comprehension of the audiences. The audience will find love, romance, suspense and action in equal doses. The taking will be on the lines of Ramgopal Varma, while the story has the touch of Bhagya Raja.”
Hero Karthi showed superb ease and command over Telugu language, saying: “I am very much thankful to the Telugu audience for they gave a big support to my previous film Yuganiki Okkadu. Now, I am sure that they would definitely extend the same patronage to my Awara. I am confident that I would be like Madhavan after the release of Awara. Madhavan established himself with the Telugu audience after his Run, directed by Linguswamy. I am also concentrating much on improving my Telugu accent".
Tamannah said: “Most part of the film was shot in the format of a journey and I really enjoyed the shoot thanks to a lot of flexibility in my characterization. It is all due to the creativity of Linguswamy.”
