Vijay Sethupathi’s rural action entertainer ‘Karuppan’ has been censored with a clean U certificate and the makers have confirmed that the film will be hitting the screens on September 29.
Paneerselvam of Renigunda fame has directed Karuppan in which Bobby Simha plays the antagonist and veteran actor Ravichandran’s granddaughter Tanya plays the romantic interest of Vijay Sethupathi. The film also has ‘Aadukalam’ Kishore, Pasupathy, Singampuli and Sarath Lohitaswa in pivotal characters.
Imman has scored the music for the film and KA Sathkivel of Ivan Veramathiri fame is in charge for the visuals. Though Jallikattu comes as an integral part of the film, the makers have not highlighted the recent student protest.
