Kate Winslet has revealed that she suffers for her art.
Discussing a key scene in Roman Polanski's film 'Carnage', based on Yasmina Reza's play 'The God Of Carnage', at the Venice Film Festival, the actress said she had to vomit but there was no food or alcohol involved, and it was all perfectly ladylike.
The 35-year-old actress also told the audience that some scenes called for computer-generated vomit, which meant she had to wear a special CGI suit.
Winslet plays a woman whose son hurts another 11-year-old schoolboy in a scrap. She along with her on-screen husband, Polanski played by Christoph Waltz, visit the parents of the injured lad.
The actress' character has to throw up dramatically, after eating apple and pear cobbler, for which Polanski along with CGI, technicians had to set up a complicated rig to aid the flow.
Along with a fermented apple and pear mixture, Winslet admits she "suggested adding rancid, mashed bananas". (ANI)
