Silambarasan, Charmi, T.Rajendar
This is the launch vehicle of Silambarasan the ?Little star? of yesterday who is touted as ?Little Superstar? by his father T. Rajendar who has produced and directed film Kathal Azhivathillai. The film has been made to showcase Silambarasan?s many talents (?). In spite of all this and loud boasting, the film is a slur on the audience thinking capability. Does T. Rajendar think that the audience are dumb and ignoramus?
Chimpu (Silambarasan) is a college student who is in love with Charmi (Charmi) studying in the same college. She is the daughter of Union minister( Radha Ravi) and wife (Nalini). The minister is against the lovers and he fixes his daughter?s wedding to another guy. In the climax a Vakil ?dada? (T. Rajendar) comes to save the lovers and after a long lecture, he unites the lovers.
Silambarasan has no screen presence nor can he act. His father has packaged him as an action hero, utilised his dancing alibility, labelled him ?little superstar? and thrust upon the audience and the poor guy is unable to carry the film on his fragile shoulders. Less said the better about the heroine and the technical side.
Verdict: Can be nominated for the Worst Film Of The Year!
