The opening night at 'Bite the Mango Festival' couldn't have got any bigger. To be held from September 24th to 30th, the weeklong extravaganza begins with King of Bollywooddirected by Piyush Jha. Om Puri, will be present to grace the occasion in United Kingdom and premiere the film King of Bollywood.
Om Puri's impressive lineage of work in Hollywood in the past includes films like East is East, My Son the Fanatic, Gandhi, White Teeth, The Ghost and The Darkness. The film also stars the British super model, Sophie Dahl.
The film is scheduled for release on 24th September worldwide and is being released in India by iDream Production through Sony Pictures Entertainment. iDream Production's earlier releases include films like Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding, Gurinder Chadha's Bend it like Beckham and Mani Shankar's 16 December.
'Bite the Mango film festival' has contributed to the popularity of Bollywood in the West and has premiered and featured screenings of many Bollywood classics like Mani Ratnam's Bombay and Roja, Shekhar Kapur's Bandit Queen as well as landmark movies like K.Asif's Mughal-E-Azam in the past.
