Singers: Leon James,Neeti Mohan
A pleasant prelude & a catchy tune ticks off most stuffs in a song. ‘Kohila’ is a typical montage tune sung by the composer himself. The interludes having a striking classical touch, sound so effective, fused with the EDM arrangements. Neeti Mohan steals the show in the charanam portions. Fresh start to the album!

Singers: Chinmayi,Inno Genga
Here comes the song of the season! ‘Kannamma’ has a zingy, urbane hook and is sung effectively by Inno Genga of Youtube fame. The acute detailing given to the arrangements is impressive especially with the use of shakers in the background. The rap (well, English verses) portions in the interludes sound kickass. Must listen! There is also a reprise version of the same song rendered by Salim Merchant which is slowly arranged and is sure to have its own set of followers.

Singers: Leon James,Vishal Dadlani
For ‘Vidaadha’, Leon James ropes in Vishal Dadlani and supplements with a highly intriguing tune. There are bagpipes, pan flutes that enrich the interludes. There is a dubstep layer to the main tune and the song does have its moments especially during the ‘Veriyodu’ portion. The percussionized pallavi that comes during the last portion of the song is a nice added touch to the already impressive tune.

Unnai Maatrinaal
Singers: Harish Sivaramakrishnan,Sragam Choir
A song made with good intentions – as a tribute to APJ Abdul Kalam. It would be interesting to see how the makers have fused this song into the movie. The mood of the song is to make it motivational & the lyrics by Na.Muthukumar hog the limelight.

KO 2 Theme Music
Already heard along with the teaser, Leon James keeps the theme music pulsating suiting the pace of the movie. Should work with the titles, chase sequences in the movie.

On the whole, the music of Ko2 sounds extremely fresh & urbane with Leon James showing it to the world that he has some serious potential.

Picks from the album: Kohila,Kannamma,Vidaadha
Album Verdict: A fresh sounding album! Leon James is here to stay!
Album Rating: 3.5/5
