It was like going back in time for the people of Koppala to the pre-independence era, as the cast and crew of 1944 made it happen with their skills, patriotism.
Naveen Krishna's 1944, a much spoken about film resonating the strong feelings of patriotism as penned by veteran Actor NS Rao in Rotti Runa, stuck to it's script as the people of Koppala were moved by the tension, the fervor and the passion of the artists.
Singer and actor Naveen Krishna who plays a simpleton also impressed the crowd. Badrinath who is debuting as a director and also taking up he cameraman role, was seen very busy as well. Producer Parameshwar, speaking about the uniqueness about the film said that the film has a small budget but the emotional value it will hold will be immense.
Starring Shivani of Bangalore-23 fame, senior actress Shruthi in pivotal roles, the movie portrays the life of freedom fighter Dugappa. The actors delivered at the spot, with a lot of intense at a small hamlet called Ghana near Koppala, gathering a mass and educating the crowd as well. In fact, the city folks were so humble, they even obliged to the directors request and wore white clothes. The all white scene in the dry parched village made the shots very successful and spectacular!
KFI will be seeing such a patriotic film after a long time, and we hope that film will make an impact.
