Bengaluru based actress Kriti Kharbanda is getting busy in Kannada films.
She recently signed two Kannada films which will keep her busy for the next three to four months. Kriti just completed her Telugu film with Manchu Manoj and is all set to start a 3 D film with Kalyan Ram shortly.
Kriti who had made a debut in Kannada through Chirru took a fairly long time to sign her second film. She will soon start this project with her Chirru director Mahesh Babu in a new film opposite Prem.
This film is a remake of Tamil hit Subramanyapuram. Hari Krishna is the music director of the film. A photo shoot for the film was recently held where Kriti proved that she is perfectly suitable for the role played by `Colours` Swathi in the original.
The second film is to be produced by top line Kannada film producer Rockline Venkatesh with Diganth as the hero. Kriti and Diganth have been friends from their modeling days. Kriti is quite happy to be teamed up with Diggy in a film to be directed by young debutant Raghavendra Naik.
Speaking to Sify Movies, Kriti said that she found both the Kannada projects quite interesting. "Mahesh Babu sir`s film gives me a deglamourised role. The movie presents me as an innocent, vulnerable girl of the eighties.
"It will be a totally different role for me. The script of Rockline Sir`s film really excited me. Frankly Diganth will have his best role to date in the film. His role is fantastic and I would have loved to do such a character on screen. Not that I am unhappy about my role, but what I want to reiterate that his role is better than mine" said Kriti Kharbanda.
Mahesh Babu`s film is all set to start its shoot in the second week of November, while Rockline Venkatesh`s new film will be launched on December 12.
