With thousands of cheering fans, the much expected audio release of Nagannad directed Kranthi Veera Sangolli Raayanna, produced by Ananda Appugol, turned out to be a mega event.
Challening Star Darshan who is playing a special role in the film was a special attraction at the function, while his friend Sudeep was the chief guest of the audio release.
"It feels good that Darshan is essaying a challenging role, I wish him the best. The function's big success will create interest in the film and more number of people would see this film", said Sudeep in a conversation with Sify Movies after the function.
Kiccha Sudeepa has given the voice over for the film which highlights the sacrifice and dynamism of Raayanna and the way he mobilised people to fight against the British rule.
Actress and Rajya Sabha M.P. Jayaprada and Nikitha, who was seen smiling throughout the function, were also present.
"It has been a great experience working for the film and speaking in a different Kannada peculiar to the Northern Karnataka. I saw the promo and it is really mind-blowing. Nothing can beat the quality of this promo, but I assure you the film is much more than what you see in the promo. Darshan ji looks fantastic in the film. It is going to be the best work for director Naganna sir. The producer has been a great support. I am sure the people would like this film", said Nikitha.
Darshan was also happy about the trailer, but said that the contents shown in the audio and its quality is not as good as that of the quality of the entire film. He thanked the entire technical team and the artists who had worked for the film.
Anand Appugol said that it is a dream come true experience for him as he has made a film of his ardent deity Sangolli Raayanna, a warrior who fought for the Nation and started war against the British rule. He said that the money spent on the film does not give a full picture about the film, but it has become possible because of the efforts of Darshan, director Naganna and the film's writer Keshava Audithya.
Shashi Kumar who is playing an important role along with music director Yasho Vardhan who has composed songs of the film were also present. Hari Krishna who rendered the background music said that it was the biggest challenge in his career to accept an offer of providing background score for the film.
Yasho Vardhan said that six songs have been composed for the film for which Keshava Audithya has written the lyrics. He added that besides veterans like Dr. Yesudas, Dr. P.Balasubramanyam and Shankara Mahadevan, other young and popular singers like Sonu Nigam, Chithra, Rajesh, Nanditha Hemanth, Anuradha Bhat and Prakasha Sontakkai have been used.
