The movie has an interesting title – Kwatle – and is directed by film journalist Chandrakala. The movie shooting was completed without much noise and the audio album was released recently. Now, the star cast has been touring the state to garner audience support, because it is full of new faces except for the heroine, Yagna Shetty.
The movie is introducing Partha as a full-time hero. The story is set in a rural location and much of the shooting took place in villages across Karnataka. The language / dialogues of the movie are also rustic. The director seems to be inspired by various Tamil movies as Kwatle reminds one of Tamil movie footages.
The protagonist has a soft corner for the heroine but at the same his unforeseen behaviour lands him in jail. The making of the movie is impressive, according to the technical cast. The cinematographer for the movie is Krishna Sarathi while Leo has composed 6 tracks, including a foot-tapping number.
But the major drawback of the movie is the protagonist himself, as the director has tried to give him a very aggressive look sans a trimmed beard. But the director contended that the character was evolved on the basis of the storyline. Kwatle will be released in theatres in May.
