Aascar Ravichandran is going to distribute Ajith’s Billa 2, sometime in June. This has made Aascar and his banner red hot in the trade.  A long forgotten movie Leelai, produced by Aascar Ravichandran’s  brother D Ramesh Babu is being dusted up for a Friday release.

Theatres across Tamil Nadu are giving Leelai which was in the cans for the last two years the red carpet. Thanks to Aascar Ravichandran’s “Billa 2 power” theatres are giving the film good screens and prime shows.

Leelai is written and directed by Andrew Louis, a former associate of SJ Surya andstars Shiv Pandit and Manasi Parekh, both North Indians in lead. Shiv’s claim to fame is Bejoy’s Nambiar’s Shaitaan where he played a negative role.

Satish Chakravarthy the music director of Leelai was happy when the hit songs from the film were a regular feature on countdown shows, a year back.

Sony Music had in fact launched the audio. Andrew says the film is set against thebackdrop of an IT milieu and it is a romantic musical laced with comedy.
