Legendary comedy screen writer and theater artist Crazy Mohan passed away today due to a sudden cardiac arrest. Despite completing engineering, Mohan started his own drama troupe called 'Crazy Creations' and made many hit comedy plays including Maadhu+2, Chocolate Krishna, and Satellite Saamiyar. Impressed with Crazy Mohan's works, Kamal Hassan collaborated with him in many blockbuster films including Apooorva Sagodharargal, Michael Madana Kamarajan, Vasool Raja MBBS, Avvai Shanmughi, Panchathanthiram, Indiran Chandran, and Thenali.

Besides Kamal Hassan, Crazy Mohan also worked with Rajinikanth in Arunachalam, Prabhu's Vietnam Colony and his combination with directors like KS Ravikumar, Sundar C and Balu Mahendra have also become hits.

Known for his word plays and pun comedy, Crazy Mohan was a big asset for many classic comedies in Tamil cinema. Many critics also say that after Crazy Mohan, Kollywood didn't find any other talented comedy writer.

Mohan was also a proud recipient of Kalaimamani Award. We at Sify.com convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
