Mumbai, March 24 (IANS) Designer Krishna Mehta, who displayed an edgy, colourful and elegant collection at the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer-Resort 2013, says that her line is a celebration of her Indian heritage.
"Life has been a celebration for me. My line today is a celebration of the heritage which I am a proud of. These were all very special looks for me," she told the media.
The prints were bold with textures like tie and dye and shibori. Even the fabrics like hand woven muslins, chanderis and silks spoke of its Indian roots.
The collection included smart tunics, dresses, pants and skirts.
Television celebrities like Apoorva Agnihotri with wife Shilpa, Imam Siddiqui and Rohit Roy attended the show.
