Madarangi, a movie featuring TV-artiste-turned film actor, Krishna, in the lead role, will be released in theatres across Karnataka this Friday. Krishna shot to fame by acting in the popular TV serial Krishna Rukmini. This is his first attempt as a hero on the silver screen.
Produced by his father, Nagappa, under the banner of Krishna movies, Madarangi is directed by Mallikarjun. Romance forms the theme of the movie for which Anup Seelin has composed five melodious tracks. One particular track, Darling Darling, has become a chartbuster, giving the movie filled with new faces, the much required impetus ahead of the release. Arasu Anthare has written the lyrics for the songs.
While the protagonist is a college student, the heroine is the daughter of a billionaire. Their encounter on the college campus is the storyline. Sushma Raj is the female lead of the movie.
According to Mallikarjun, who had previously directed the flop Auto, Madarangi has an innovative love story and is bound to become a hit. The dialogue and screenplay form the highlight of the movie, he claims. Girish is making his debut as a cinematographer through the movie.
The star cast includes Kavya Shetty, Sadhu Kokila, Srinivasa Prabhu, Avinash and Kuri Prathap. Action director Different Danny is supposed to have composed 5 tough stunt sequences, which Krishna performed without using a body double. Murali has choreographed all the five songs.
