Actors in Bollywood are setting new standards when it comes to promoting their films on various media like television, print and social media, before the release of their films. They seem to swear by the perception that a well-promoted film can never flop.
But down south this trend is yet to catch up as none of the big heroes in Tamil cinema are ready to acknowledge that their visibility on various media platforms can influence the viewers to buy a ticket!
Madhavan, taking a leaf out of his Bollywood colleagues is going all out to promote his UTV, YNOT Studios & Thirukumaran produced and Sudha Kongara directed Irudhi Suttru.
After media promotions in Mumbai, Chennai, Madurai , Madhavan went to Coimbatore and visited a college and gave an inspiring speech in front of hundreds of students. The video of the Madhavan meet went viral.
Later he did back to back eight television interviews including the Simply Khushbu show . For Divya Darshini’s show he took the anchor for a ride on the back of the bike that he is shown riding in the trailer!
While the film will be releasing on January 29 all these interview segments will be telecasted for Republic day special on Tamil television, thus grabbing the attention of the family crowd.
Meanwhile on Thursday (Jan 21), a new trailer of the film was premiered. This one was a more intense well cut trailer, which also hinted at a romance between the coach and his mentor in the film. Dream Factory will be releasing the film throughout Tamil Nadu on January 29.
