Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu has made its way to the theatres. The film was much awaited and has huge expectations. Let us see how the film has fared and if it lives up to all the buzz it created.

Harsha (Mahesh Babu) is asked to take over the reins of the empire created by his father RK (Jagapathi Babu). Harsha's plans are to serve people. Charusheela is studying Rural Development. Harsha joins the same college and they eventually fall in love. But when Charusheela comes to know Harsha is RK's son, she avoids him.

Harsha learns from Charusheela about a village Devarakota. People from this village are migrating to the cities. Sasi (Sampath) who is close to central minister Venkata Raman has grabbed the tank in this village. But what has that got to do with Harsha's father. What does Harsha do when he gets the entire picture of what is happening in Devarakota forms the crux of the film!

Mahesh Babu has given his best. He is ultimate and oozes class in this role. Be it action scenes or simple confrontation, he delivers ultimate performance.

Shruti Haasan complements Mahesh Babu well in her role. She is beautiful and the role has good weight. Jagapathi Babu is astounding; Rajendra Prasad has given good act. Mukesh Rishi and Sampath have performed well.

The film is beautifully shot by cinematographer Maddie. Devi Sri Prasad's tunes are good.

Director Koratala is known for presenting his films in style. This is seen in Mirchi and again now in Srimanthudu. The later is laced with good content and perfect script. The film flows naturally. The father son sequences impresses. The first half of the film is slow, nevertheless it has couple of scenes are good. Second half of the film is a revelation. Editing of the film could have been crisper; this would have elevated the film to a totally different level.

The movie has emotional quotient too. One of the best parts of the movie it has no separate comedy track to deviate the story. All dialogues are superb.

Overall Srimanthudu is a right mix of Mahesh's emotional and class performance, Shruthi's charisma, fine storyline and all materials that are needed for a good entertainer.

Verdict: Good entertainer
