The venue was decorated like a palace and the film's stars arrived in vintage cars.
Jimmy Shergil, dressed like a maharaja in a yellow sherwani and turban, drew up in a 1947 Buick.
Mahie Gill looked every inch the 'Biwi' in a blue sari accesorised with gold jewellery. She alighted from a 1932 Ford.
Irrfan Khan channeled a nawabi gangster in a 1952 Chysler, while Soha Ali Khan looked lovely in a pink ghagra with antique jewelry as alighted from a 1933 Ford.
The stars also enacted a scene from the film, with their signature dialogues. Speaking at the event, Dhulia said the subject of royal families has always interested him.
"I am from Allahabad and a history student. I have a love for history," he said.
The film is all set for a March 8 release.
