Mallika Sherawat is going to do the Munni song with Silambarasan’s in Dharani directed Osthi.
The Munni song in the original Dabangg (Osthi is a remake of the Salman Khan film), not only became a chartbuster but also was also the most talked about item number done by Malaika Arora.
When STR and Dharani started remaking Dabangg in Tamil, the most asked question was – who would do the Munni song?
A lot of names were tossed around including Nayanthara, Shriya, Reema Sen and many others.
Finally Mallika Sherawat the original “sex bomb” of Bollywood has been signed for a whopping amount by the producers of the film.
Mallika last appeared in Tamil in Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam in a negative role. Earlier she was seen in Mani Ratnam’s Guru in an item number.
It is a major coup for STR to have roped in Mallika Sherawat to do the most talked about item song "Munni Badnaam Hui".
Mallika and STR will dance to the tune composed by Thaman.
Says STR: “ Yes, Mallika has been signed to do the Munni song . We will be shooting it in Ramoji Rao Studio in Hyderabad by the end of the month. Osthi is getting ready for a Diwali release.”
