Mammooty arrives in Sandalwood!

Malayalam superstar Mammooty is the biggest news in Sandalwood. Shooting for his first-ever Kannada film Shikari was launched this week. Big budget film producer K Manju is producing the film for which planning was on for the last one year.
Award-winning director Abhay Simha, who hails from Mangalore, is directing it. Once the film shooting is complete, it will be remade in Malayalam. Mammooty has won the hearts of the Shikari crew by announcing that he would not seek remuneration for the Kannada film. But the producer has to pay him for the Malayalam version. The pay package however is a secret!
The film is about a software engineer who is an avid reader. He happens to read a book, which incidentally is about his past life. In his past life, the male protagonist is a hunter. According to Abhay Simha, Mammooty was excited about the project after hearing the script. The actor is writing the dialogue in Malayalam after consulting the director every day.
"He is highly professional in his approach. His simplicity has won him the respect of the Kannada film industry. Now, I understand why he has 360 films to his credit," producer Manju said.
V Harikrishna has scored to the music for Shikari. Chinni Prakash will choreograph the songs. The film is being shot in Bangalore and jungles of Mysore.
