Mani films become hot in Mumbai?

Last week noted producer Bharath Shah had snapped up Mani Ratnam’s 1991 Rajinikanth-Mammmootty classic Thalapathy.

Now another Mumbai based producer Vijay of VG Entertainment has snapped up the remake rights of Mani’s 1989 entertainer Agninatchathram which had Karthik and Prabhu in the lead.

Rohit  Shetty  Bollywood’s new remake Raja after the success of Singham a remake of Suriya’s super hit Hari directed Singam is supposed to be directing the remake.

Ajay Devgan is likely to play the hero.
