Manoj Bajpai wins National Award

The last set of film awards for the year 2003 - the National Film Awards was announced recently.

Munnabhai MBBS was awarded the best popular film providing wholesome entertainment, Koi Mil Gaya won award for the best film on social issues while the Nargis Dutt award for best film on national integration went on to Pinjar.

And though there was no winner from Bollywood for the Best Actor Award (Vikram won the Best Actor award for the Tamil film Pithamagan); it was neither Hrithik nor Shahrukh, but Manoj Bajpai who won a Special Jury Award for his impressive act in Pinjar. Pankuj Kapur won the Best Supporting Actor for Maqbool.

Other Bollywood winners included Sonu Nigam for best male playback singing for the title song in Kal Ho Naa Ho, Farah Khan for Best Choreography in Koi Mil Gaya (Idhar Chala) and Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy as Best Musicians for Kal Ho Naa Ho. Indiafm
