Marathi movie 'Sairat' to be remade in Tamil

Rockline Venkatesh, producer of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa has bought the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam remake rights of Marathi blockbuster romantic saga, Sairat.

Zee Studios will be co-producing the film along with Rockline Venkatesh in all four South Indian languages and they are confident about the success. Recently, critics and industry celebrities who have seen Sairat special screening at PVR in Chennai have raved about the film and lauded the stunning performance of its lead pair, Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar.

Sources say that Rockline Venkatesh is currently holding talks with several filmmakers to adapt the film for local audiences and the producer is planning to commence the principal shoot in August.

Sairat is a love story between an upper caste girl and low caste boy and already there is a buzz that the film has traces of Balaji Shakthivel's Kaadhal.
