Vijay Sethupathi’s production venture ‘Merku Thodarchi Malai’ has been selected for Habitat Film Festival in Delhi. The film has already played at three Indian film festivals and recently had a very successful international premiere at the New York Indian Film Festival.
‘A Death in The Gunj’, ‘Angamaly Diaries’, ‘Mukthi Bhawan’ and ‘Sila Samayangalil’ are the other notable Indian films to be screened at Habitant Film Festival, which will begin on May 17 end ends on May 28 in Delhi. Regarding Merku Thodarchi Malai, the film will be screened at the Stein Auditorium on May 27 at 4:30 pm.
Directed by Lenin Bharathi, Ilaiyaraaja has composed music for the film, which also features a bunch of newcomers. The film is based on the plight of the landless labor class living on the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
