Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has sung Satyameva Jayate (Truth alone triumphs) in an album that has been produced by a supergroup that also features Indian music legend A R Rahman.
Jagger has given his voice for the Sanskrit song, which is the second single of the group titled SuperHeavy, also featuring Dave Stewart, Joss Stone and Damian Marley.
Jagger revealed that he had formed the band in May, saying that he 'wanted a convergence of different musical styles'.
"It's different from anything else I've ever been involved in," the BBC quoted Jagger as telling Rolling Stone magazine."The music is very wide-ranging - from reggae to ballads to Indian songs in Urdu," he added.
The album is expected to be released in September.
