In recent times picking a hit song and making it the title of the movie has become a trend. Another Sandalwood film has gone that way with the title Minchagi Nee Baralu which derives its title from the hit song of the movie Gaalipata. The song was one of the chartbusters of the year 2008.
Minchagi Nee Baralu which stars doodhpeda Diganth and Kriti Karbanda is been jointly produced by Randeep Shantharam Mahadik, Mahesh Talakadu and Maheshkumar Jaiswal under 'Strawberry Entertainments' banner. Having known from their modeling days, Diganth and Kriti are looking forward to set the screen on fire with their performances.
Randeep Shantaram who had assisted renowned Hindi director Rajkumar Santoshi will be making his directorial debut. The director intended to make the film with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in hindi, but due to unknown reasons, the film had to be dropped and the same subject has been brought into Sandalwood.
“I was planning to make a movie in Bollywood but that did not work out. One of the producers of my movie Mahesh Talkad who is also with Strawberry Entertainments is basically from Mysore and he said, Why don’t we make the movie in Kannada? So I decided to make a Kannada movie. I’ve observed that kannada audience don’t accept anything short of good movies, whether it stars a bankable star cast or not,” said director Randeep Shantaram.
While the post production of the movie is done, the movie is due to release soon. V.Harikrishna will be seen composing the songs for the movie which have been written by another director A.P.Arjun.
