Mohanlal will be the chief guest for Kerala state film awards

The memorandum of the protestors has not been considered by the Kerala govt. Minister A K Balan has confirmed that Mohanlal will be the chief guest at this year’s film awards function.

The controversy began when 107 persons, some of them well-known names from art and literature, submitted a memorandum against the government’s decision to invite a chief guest for the film awards function. Though the name of the chief guest was not mentioned in the memorandum, it was known to all that Mohanlal was this year’s guest.

There were great protests from all corners regarding the memorandum and the first name in the list, actor Prakash Raj, clarified that he was never aware about such a move and had never signed it.

Now the government has made it clear that it will be Mohanlal who is being invited as chief guest for the function.
