Kamal Haasan’s Mumbai Express will start as scheduled on April 14, worldwide in three languages- Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Sahara One who has purchased the Hindi theatrical rights is starting the biggest ever promotion for the film.
According to a spokesperson of Rajkamal: “Everything is on schedule and the audio will be launched next week. The first copy will be ready soon and we are sticking to the title Mumabi Express and will not be browbeaten by any language fanatics”.
Mumbai Express has a lot of curiosity surrounding it as it is after 16 years that a Rajni film will clash with a Kamal film. Remember that it was for 1989 Deepavali that the big two clashed last time, when Kamal’s Guna and Rajni’s Dalapathy released on the same day!
What works in favour of Mumbai Express is that there is very little hype and hoopla surrounding it compared to Rajni and his Chandramukhi. When expectations are gargantuan it always creates more tension for its makers.
Meanwhile rumours are rife that Sachin is not ready to pad up for April 14 as three songs and a few talkie portion are yet to be shot.
