Shivaraj Kumar had to face a lot of failures in the past two years and most of his previous films were released at their own risk by the producers themselves.
When Kanakapura Sreenivas and K.P.Sreekanth started shooting Mylari, it was felt in trade circles that the producers had to make their own arrangements for the release. But the craze for the film has been increasing since the audio of the film was released. The trailers and songs have also left their mark.
A week before the release of the film the producers are happy as the film has been sold to all the seven areas of the state at a fancy rate. The producers have sold it to the district wise distributors on a non-refundable advance basis which has helped them to recover the investment. The producers are also hopeful that the film made at a cost of around Rs. 5.50 crores will fetch more profits.
Trade analysts attribute the big craze for Mylari to the success of the audio besides the combination of a veteran super star with a young and proven director like R. Chandru who hit the jackpot with his first directorial venture Taj Mahal. Power Star Puneet Raj Kumar has rendered play back for the most popular song `Mylapura Mylari` in the film which has become a big success along with `Sukumaari` and `Butbude`.
The producers are also known to be good spenders on the produciton values and this time they have ensured a good publicity for the film through stills, wall papers and trailers in channels and websites. Shivaraj Kumar is paired with Sada in this film and Sanjjana is also featured in an important role.
